Mandatory System Check Required
You must use a desktop or laptop computer equipped with a functional, integrated or external web camera and a stable, high-speed internet connection. Mobile devices, tablets, and web browsers without secure HTTPS encryption are blocked by the system security policies.
1 General Login Instructions
- Credential Distribution: The access URL for the entrance examination, along with your username and password, will be transmitted to your registered email address at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled start time.
- Examination Window: The official examination start and end times are strictly configured. A real-time countdown timer will remain visible on your screen throughout the session.
- Session Persistence: Credential sharing is prohibited. If you are logged out due to power disruption or connectivity dropouts, logging back in will reset your browser runtime session and require fresh camera verification.
2 Biometric Verification & Face Entry
- Camera Access Authorization: After entering your username and password, click "Enable Camera". You must grant the web browser permission to access your camera. If your browser blocks access, click the camera or lock icon in the address bar to manually reset permissions.
- Face Comparison Step: Position your face within the camera viewport, click "Capture Photo", and then select "Confirm & Save". The verification system will dynamically compare your live image against your pre-stored baseline profile picture.
- Attempt Limits: You are permitted up to 3 face comparison attempts.
- If validation succeeds, you will be redirected automatically to your exam screen.
- If validation fails after the 3rd attempt, and the system bypass option is enabled, an "Ignore & Continue" button will appear. Clicking this allows you to proceed but registers an identity mismatch warning flag on the server for manual audit.
- Hardware Fallback (Skip Option): If your camera hardware fails to initialize or enable 3 consecutive times, and the bypass configuration is active, a gray "Skip & Proceed" button will appear, letting you bypass capture and proceed to the test.
3 Navigation & Answering Rules
- One-by-One Presentation: Examination questions will be presented in random order, one by one.
- Submit to Save: Your answer choices are only recorded when you click the "Submit" button. If you navigate away or move to another question without clicking submit, your updated choice will not be recorded on the server.
- Option Definitions: The multiple-choice options labeled i), ii), iii), and iv) correspond to answer designations A, B, C, and D respectively.
- Removing Choices: You can clear your selected option by clicking a different option or unchecking the active selection.
- Premature Exit (Quit): You can choose to end your examination early by clicking the "Quit" button. Once confirmed, your exam is finalized, and you cannot re-enter the test session.
- Session Finalization: Once all questions have been answered or skipped, please select the "Logout" button to secure your submission and terminate your session.
4 Live Proctoring & Malpractice Controls
- Live Webcam Feed Syncing: Your camera must remain active, uncovered, and properly aligned throughout the examination. A background service will periodically capture and stream silent, low-resolution webcam snapshots to the Live Proctoring Monitoring Desk. Disabling your camera will trigger an automatic security alert.
- Window focus Restrictions: Do not switch browser tabs, open separate applications, or utilize local/external search engines. Any deviation from the active examination window is logged dynamically as a security violation.
- Deviation Warnings: If you navigate away from the test window, an on-screen warning alert will display, tracking the number of focus deviations recorded. Multiple violations will result in automatic session suspension.
- Disqualification: Any suspicious or unauthorized movement, external voices, or duplicate logins will result in immediate disqualification. All final decisions regarding proctoring violations reside with the competent authority of IIIT Allahabad.
5 Privacy & Data Security Policy
- IP Logging: Your devie network IP address is continuously logged and bound to your exam record for auditing.
- Verification Image Storage: All baseline verification and bypassed identity snapshots are permanently stored on the server for facial auditing.
- Activity Archival: All continuous proctoring snapshots and focus deviations are recorded, timestamped, and stored securely as part of your examination file.
